No Quarter, running to his best form and favored by a good start, made the running throughout and. holding on well in the .stretch, outstayed Rensonhiirst. The latter ran a good race ami stood the final drive resolutely and was wearing the winner down steadily. Airship came from a long way back hi the slrtlcli. Clifton Forge, away slowly and in a tangle, had a rough trip anil will improve. Young Stevens also suffered from interference and came fast when clear. Royal Rond ran fairly well and was prominent most of the way. Cork Hill, away poorly and weakly ridden, ran far below bis best form. Sister Polly, a slow beginner, bad scant chance in the big field. Esther P.rown, iirominent from the start, went a trille wide in the stretch but, showing improvement, stood the linal drive gamely and just lasted long enough to save second place. Catherine F. gained steadily and would have been second in another stride. Hasty Agnes had no mishaps. Toplofty tired after suffering from interference on the stretch turn. Mamie Gallagher got away in a tangle and can do much belter. Divorcee also suffered from interference and ran far below her best form. Convolo, running to his best form and well ridden, set a stiff pace from the start, saved mucli ground on all turns and, finishing resolutely,, won out after a hard drive. Lady Esther, shuflled. back on the first turn and aain meeting interference on the lower turn, saved ground when coming into the stretcli and hnlshed gamely. Edwin Gum was crowded back in the first half, then moved up resolutely, but was forced to go wide. on. the stretch turn, losing much ground, and finished with a rush. Light AVool acted lutdly at the uost and ran well, but tired in the stretch drive. Lexoline also tired in the stretch. Polly Prim ran fairly well for three-quarters and can do better. Mark Time -ame from a Ion?; way back in the stretch and, finishing gamely, would have been second in another stride. Coon tired after going fairly well for the first five furlongs. Miss Strotne was well ridden and followed the others close up to the stretch, where she wore the leaders down and, standing a hard drive through the last furlong, held Charlatan safe at the end. Charlatan trailed in the early stages, but moved up with a rush after going three-quarters and put up a game finish, hut was tiring slightly at the end. Beau Brummel suffered from crowding at the three-quarters, lint finished gamely and wore Warner Griswell down near the end for third place. Warner Griswell forced the pace in the early stages and had Beau Brummel and Hazel Hatch in close quarters, finally forcing the latter to be pulled back sharply and eliminating him as a contender. Arrow Swift broke fast, was clear of interference and, saving much ground on the first turn, opened up a winning lead in the first half, but had to be shaken up near the end. Yansel, showing suddenly improved form and speed, was a forward contender throughout and stayed well in the final drive. Peoria ran well and had no mishaps. Sabado gained steadily and ran a good race. Dr. Simrall was never a serious contender. Tyrol closed a big gap under weak riding, Rexall and Mirzer were distant trailers all the way. Bramble Lad ran out on the stretch turn and carried Captain Childs with him. The winner was entered for !00; no bid. Merrick broke fast and showed the most speed, but tired near the end. Black Fox, away poorly, closed a big gap and finished fast. Toboggan showed speed, but tired and swerved badly in the stretch. Dr. Lee Huffman, far back in the early stages, came with a rush through the stretch. Potter quit badly in the last quarter. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
