BREEDING BUREAU FOR CALIFORNIA. President Thomas H. Williams of the Pacific Coast Jockey Club will at once take action for the establishment of a thoroughbred breeding bureau In the State of California on the same lines as tliat now so well planted In New York State. Mr. Williams was much pleased with the idea on the occasion of his recent visit to the east, and It is evident has lost no time In Introducing the scheme Into his own state. The breeding bureau, originally suggested by John S. McDonald, is destined to be a strong factor In racing affairs, and Is rapidly being taken up by many states where there is an interest In the thoroughbred. " w t- i
