Martius, away fast and showing good form, was a forward contender all the way and outstayed Gracss George in the closing strides. Grace George showed improved form and ran into prominence early.but tired in the stretch drive. Anneta Lady had no mishaps and was taken wide most of the way. Careless us A a rough trip and stumbled in the stretch. Gold Enamel loomed up dangerously on the stretch turn, but tired in the last quarter. J. J. Jr. quit badly after going a quarter. Hyperbole came from a, long way back and, under stronger riding, would have been a sharp factor. Katie Powers ran poorly and was beaten off all the way. Lansdown tired in the last quarter.
