Johnny Edwards dashed into a secure lead in the first furlong aud, setting the, pace fast all the way, easily outstayed Dixie Ilimmel. The latter is a much improved youngster, quickly got ir.tc nearest pursuit and finished a game and fast going second. Kings Plate was always prominent and ran a good raco. but was held safe by the first two. Braggadocio ran well, but tired in the stretch. The others weiv always outrun. Dele Strome was gaining near the end and would have been third in a few more strides. Hayniarkot showed a brief Hash of hign speed.
