HURRICANA ESTABLISHMENT TO GO Amsterdam N Y June 10 As a result of the passing of the Jlart bill Stephen Sanford of the llurricana Farm says that he will discontinue the breeding of thoroughbreds will sell his horses us rgpidly as possible and the Hurricana establishment will be dismantled There will be no matinee races at the farm this season as was contemplated OH of 600 a week at the Hurricana Farm which will bo gradually lessened until the time will come when there will be only 2T a week paid out for care ¬ takers Mr Sanford says saysI I wanted to demonstrate lhat tho thoroughbred could be rained in our climate that horses the equal of those raised at Kentucky and elsewhere could be produced in Amsterdam I extended my establish ¬ ment expending thousands of dollars until now the lifavy hand oif the reformer is laid down with scanc cMulderaUonvof the money invested
