KENTUCKY RACING COMMISSION RULINGS Orders That Only PariMutuel and Auction Pooling Be Allowed on Kentucky Tracks Lexington Ky June 1fl Unless the Latonia Jockey Club at a meeting of the directors to be held at Covingtoii or Cincinnati tonight elects to defy the State Racing Commission and precipitate a light through the courts there will he no book ¬ makers in line at Latonia tomorrow or any yther day during the present meeting The State Hacing Commission all five members being present met here this morning and resolved to sanction only parimiituels and auction pools and to revoke the license of any racing association in this state that permits any other form of betting upon its track On representation in behalf of the Latonia Jockey Club made in person by Harvey Meyers general manager of the track that daily expenditures of the club are in excess of receipts permission was given to reduce purses from 500 to 400 Meyers presented a statement showing a loss of 230 per day for the first ten days of the meeting meetingT T C McDowell and J II Woodford appeared bo fore the commission as the representatives of the horsemen racing at Latonia with the statement that the horsemen at a meeting held last night had unanimously opposed the reinstatement of book ¬ makers at Latonia and that they were delegated to request a reduction in the purses pursesThe The commission thereupon unanimously adopted the following resolutions resolutionsResolved Resolved that this commission believes that the best interests of the turf demand that only the parimutuel system of betting and auction pools be used on all race courses coursesSecond Second that all racing associations licensed by this commission are hereby instructed to permit only the parimutuel system and auction pools on their grounds groundsThird Third that any violation of this resolution will he punished by the revocation of their licenses licensesKesolved Kesolved that the rule of May 11 be modified to read as follows followsThat That the tracks licensed by this commission shall in their daily programs make the aggregate added money 2000 when live races are run 2400 when six races are run and 2SOO when seven races are run Stakes not to be considered This rule to take effect upon this date until further notice noticeThe The impression hero is that the Latouia Jockey Club will accept the dictum of the commission without resorting to the courts courtsThe The commission also had liefore them the appli ¬ cations of trainer George Ilamni and jockeys Dale Austin and George Mountain for reinstatement Thev were laid over until the next meeting
