BOCKY OBKIEN WINTEBING WELL Nexv York January 13 Report has it that James McMiiuus will nominate his chestnut colt Rocky OBrien in a number of allaged events for the com ¬ ing season The sou of Muddler Suisuii went into retirement in perfect condition with legs and feet as sound as a bell He has wintered exceptionally well and has grown and lengthened considerably His glossy coat and clear eye speak well for the care Instowed on him Kver since Kocky OBrien left the jsnles paddock as a yearling lie has been under the direct charge of Kiinliil Patterson The Patterson iiarn at Belmont Park is enclosed and has sufficient length to enable a trainer to give his horses a lot of jogging which is the tirst hardening process The enclosure is well padded with straw thus insuring safety legTrainer to the feet and the ligaments of the leg Trainer Patterson is also handling nine twoyear olds Master Mariner a bay colt by Hamburg out of Sea Nymph resembles his sire in conformation ind color This youngster performed well in his autumn trials and should race well in the early spring A chestnut filly by Mexican out of Decem ¬ ber named Winning Widow worked three furlongs iu 353rt during the month of October
