HOUSES REACH CHARLESTON THREE MORE CARLOADS ADDED TO THE PALMETTO PARK COLONY OF HORSES. Racing Stables of Mrs. L. A. Livingston. E. W. Moore and W. T. Woodard Swell Ranks of Those in Readiness for Opening of Meeting. Chariest—, S. C. January 10. — Three carloads of hors.s arrived today at Palmetto Park. Thev are the property of Mrs. L. A. Livingston, of Jobstown, N. .1.. B, W. .Moore, of Nashville. Tenn.. and W. T. Woodard, of Lexington. Ky. Mr. Moores string comprises eight horses and among them are the well-known racers Settle Sue and Joe Stein. Mr. Woodard has his old standby Howdy flowdv and in addition, Mclvor, Stealaway and siar Rose. Mi Livingstons hot sea were all raised on Hie faaaosja Rancocaa Stock Farm, which has produced so many noted thoroaghbreds whose records adorn the annals: of the American turf. William Hayward is tin* trainer of these horses an l jockey Clement will ride them. Mrs. Livingston races strictly for sport. The earnings of her stable never assets the expenses. notwithstanding that she wins many stakes and purses. Lovetle, by Bdrii Lossy, won the Fourth of July Handicap for Mrs. Livingston at Fort Erie last summer and the whole country rang with the plaudits that were bestowed upon Sotemia, the daughter of Loeohatchee and Sssrg when she won Ihe four mile Kentucky Kndiirance Stakes at LosilSflBe, Ky.. utter in the season.
