NEW TRAILER FOR DAVIES STABLE. 1 Toronto. Out., December S. The announcement is made that Henry McDaniel has been engaged to train the extensive stable of Robert Davies or this citv during 1914 aud that he will assume bis duties on "January 1. The horses, twenty in number, were trained with signal success this year by John Nixon. The Davies stable will be fitted at Benning for its campaign of next season. Henry McDaniel is one of the lest known of American trainers. During a long and successful career on the running turf he has trained for various prominent owners with marked success. Ills last engagement was with the stable of R. L. Thomas. Kentucky millionaire, who retired from racing a few years ago on account of ill-health. Since that time Mr. .McDaniel has been handling some horses for himself and at present he has a string in training at Juarez, although he is Just now in New York City, where he was called recently by the serious illuess of his wife.
