AMERICAN JOCKEYS DOING WELL IN FRANCE. On March 5, at Engliicn, in France, jockey V. Powers won a hurdle race and placed in another. The following day he won two races at St. Oucn, one being a ,000 event, and placed in three others. Again, on March t, at Enghien, he piloted two Winifred Williams won a steeplechase race at St. Oucn March 7, again at Autcuil on March S. and again at St. Ouen March 10. Then at Autcuil, March 12. lie piloted two winucrs. Frank ONeill was lm rare form at St. Cloud in France last Monday, when he piloted four of the six winners, three of them Secundus, Selaulo and Stanbv being owned by W. K. Vauderbllt. J. IT. Wideiiers two runners, Jacques and Cocwr and LAdorable, ridden by J. Lof tus, bad Jo bo content with places. , . , , , . , II B. Duryeas Durbar, ridden by jockey Mcl.ee, wou the Prix de, la Tre, value ,000, , at Maisous-Latlitte. Tuesday, with Charles Carroll s Armenia, ridden hv J. Loftus. second. Mr. Duryea s Hickory finished second in the closing race of the day.
