BILLINGS ENTRIES IN KENTUCKY DERBY. Omar Khayyam, Greek Legend, Bachelors Hope and All Star Named for Big Race. New York. January 01. — Frederick Johnson, the racing partner of C. K. G. Killings, hfeaday sent in the nominations of that stable for the Kentucky Derby, tin- closing day for which will be Thursday. The Hillings entries are : Omar Khayyam, ch. c, by Marco — Lisma. Creek Legend, by Iolymelus — Evadne. I.aehelors Hope, by Tredennis— Ladytown. All Star, by Sunstar— Falling Star. Omar Khayyam is the only one of these animals which has been shown to the public. He and the others are now at New Orleans in the charge of trainer ratterson. From New Orleans they will be shipped, along with other Killings and Johnson horses now there, at the end of the Fair .fennels meeting, to Hot Springs, and thence to the Kentucky tracks. Mr. Killings growing interest in thoroughbreels has recently caused jealous comment among some of the adherents of the harness horse sport, who have sought to make light of his thoroughbred investments, but it is said he lias a keen desire- to see a delegation of thoroughbreels carrying his color-. equal in ejuality to those which have represented him on the harness horse tracks. If any of the Killings and Johnson Kentucky Derby cligibles show promise ,,f making a good effort for that event. Mr. Killings, it is said, will take a party of his friends to Louisville in a private car to witne-ss the race. Mr. Killings is now in California, where he will bo joined next week by Mr. Johnson. The latter was taken sick during his recent visit to New York, but has recovered.
