RACING TO HELP DEPLETED TREASURY Aldeiman John Coughlin introduced an order in the council Monday evening for a law authorizing horse racing. "Frame it so the city gets 25 per cent of the receipts," lie said. "New York-gets ,000,000 annually from its tracks. " Its a good sport and would be profitable for our depleted treasury." The order was referred to the judiciary committee.
