MILAM BUYS SIXTEEN YOUNG HORSES LEXINGTON. K;,. December 7. J. C. Milam a few days ago bought from Thomas M. Murphy of: IjoitiKvillu his crop of 1919 thoroughbred weanlings, numbering thirteen, and three yearlings, ami they have been shipped to his- farm near Lexington. The weanlings are: Bay colt brother to Bright Gold, by Golden Maxim, dam Briglitstoue. Brown colt, by Golden Maxim, dam Gold of Ophir, by Ben Brush. Chestnut filly, by Golden Maxim, dam Eva K., by The Friar, she out of Oasis, by Commando. Bay colt, by Gulden Maxim dam Little Nell, by Cedarstrume. Brown filly, by Golden Maxim, dam Mary Bo-dine, by Star Shoot, she out of Agnes Virginia. Chestnut filly, by Golden Maxim, dam Our Blonde, by The Friar. Bay colt, by Golden Maxim, dam Lilly Mac, by Plaudit. Brown colt, by Golden Maxim, dam Nellie Welles,: by Dick Welles. Brown filly, by Golden Maxim, dam Lady Lexington, by Hastings. Bay filly, by Golden Maxim, dam Yankee Tree, by Yankee. Chestnut celt, by Boots and Saddle, dam Billows, by Canard, she out of Princess Titania. Bay colt, by Boots and Saddle, dam Evelyn Doris,; by Ben lirush. Chestnut colt, by Boots and Saddle, dam Green Dawn, by Greenan. In addition to these Milam has six other weanlings as follows: Chestnut colt, by Peter Quince, dam Stick Pin, by McGee. Black colt, by Yankee, dam Queen Marguerite; II.. by Henry of Navarre. Bay colt half-brother to Dick AVilliams and Diamond, by Sweep, dam Annie Williams half-sister to Howard Mann, winner of the Suburban Handicap. Bay filly, by Black Toney, dam Lady Wayward. Chestnut colt brother to Marjorie Hynes, by Dick Finnell. dam Alice Baird, by Woolsthorpe. Brown colt brother to Viola Park, by Dick Finnell, dam Viola Vail. The colts out of Stick Pin and Marguerite II. were bred by Mr. Milam. The half-brother to Dick Williams lie bought from Dr. Knox of Georgetown. The Lady Wayward filly he bought from E. R. Bradley, owner of Idle Hour Farm, and the other two he bought from R. II. Anderson of Georgetown, owner of the Teas Over Stud. The three yearlings acquired from T. M. Murphy are: Chestnut filly, by Boots and Saddle, dam Pearl G. Brown filly, by Golden Maxim, dam Lady Lexington. Bay filly, by Golden Maxim, dam Mary Bodine.
