FAIR VIRGINIA,, away quickly, set the early pace and tired after taking the lead again at the eighth post. ATTOO began jdowly and finished fastest of all. ZENNOTTA ran well. Won driving; second and third the same. LB MARSOUIN was saved for a mile and a half, then raced into the lead when called on and was going away in the final drive. DISTANT SHORE-was a forward contender all the way and finished fast after losing ground at several jumps and stumbling when landing after taking the last jump. LIEUTENANT SEAS finished gamely and held INFIDEL II. safe at the end. The latter and VALSPAR raced well. ALGARDI quit and pulled up sore. NONUS was always beaten. tCFffT-i T? THIRD RACE 1 1-16 Miles. Won driving; second and third the same. COCK O THE ROOST set a fast pace from the start and, racing into a lnog lead, tired in the stretch, but outstayed the fast-coming WELLFINDER. The latter gained rapidly after rounding the far turn and was running fastest at the finish. THE BOY was much used in forcing a fast early pace and tired in the final drive. BASTILLE closed a big gap in the last quarter. LOVE TAP ran fairly well. LEFFARE showed speed. Scratched 56019 Fort Bliss, 102; 57452 Eddie Rickenbacher, 120; 57523Trantula, 9S. FANCIER raced well, but began tiring badly near- the end and just outstayed MARYLAND BELLE. The latter closed a gap and finished resolutely. MOCO dwelt when the barrier was sprung and was runuing fastest of all at the end. CLANSMAN ran a poor race. Overweights Sailing Along, 1 pound.
