RACING AT MICHIGAN FAIRS OWOSSO, Mich., August 9. A total of 0 -000 will be offered in purses for the thoroughbred races to be held at the Michigan fairs. Circuit manager W. J. Dowling announces that the joint program book is being distributed and may be had on application to him at Owosso, Mich. The circuit will immediately follow the meeting of the Toledo Fair August 14, opening at Owosso Fair August 22, and then following consecutively at Bay City Northeastern Fair, Detroit Michigan State Fair, Jackson Fair, Grand Rapids West Michigan Fair and the Adrian Fair. These are of the best fairs in Michigan and all tracks are fast and safe, with good barns and other accommodation. The meeting at the Michigan State Fair will be of six days duration and will be presided over by Judge Joseph A. Murphy, and the starting will be done by William Snyder.
