j TRYSTER GAINS NEW OWNER SARATOGA SPRINGS. N. Y., August 9 Among the visitors at the course today was the well-known steel magnate J. L. Reploglc, who races under the name of the Westmont Stable and owns among others the good handicap horse Sennings Park. He added .to his stable today through the purchase of the four-year-old colt Tryster. from his friend Harry Payne Whitney. No price was made public, but the transfer must have involved considerable money, as Tryster has always been a favorite of the Whitney stable. By Peter Pan Tryst, by St. Amant, he was the crack two-year-old of 1020. This year he has been noted as a sprinter and is one of tho best horses we have up to a mile. Mr. Replogle has only recently returned from a visit to European countries. His chief recreation is thoroughbred racing, and he has in the young mare Princess Palatine, by Prince Palatine Frizette, one of the most promising brood mares, if breeding counts for anything in this country. Scott Harlan, who has always trained the horses of the Westmont Stable, will have Tryster, and he will be in capable hands. Harlan is a good man with a horse and a caretaker second to none, his horses always looking well.
