Won driving; second and third the same. NEW ORLEANS set the pace briefly and was taken back and saved, then came extremely wide into the best going and, wearing the leaders down in the final eighth, won going away. NOTIME raced THE PERUVIAN into defeat, but tired in the last eighth. THE PERUVIAN, away forwardly, raced into a clear lead, but tired badly in the stretch. CONFUSION ran a good race. REI.MON tired. CHKSTKR15ROOK was hard, ridden and made a game finish, but could never overtake the leader. FROOMFLAX moved up fast after going a half mile, but tired in the stretch. HAH slipped through on the inside on the last turn and, finishing fast under a skillful ride, passed SEA MINT and won going away. SEA MINT showed the most early speed and set the pace gamely, but tired in the List eighth. KING ALBERT steadily improved his itosition and moved up menacingly on the stretch turn, but attempted to squeeze through between the loaders in the last seventy yard. and interfered with SIlGS, for which he was disqualified SPUGS was tiring when forced back. THORNHEDGK raced wide in the best going, but conld not improve his position. CHATKAl GAY closed a big gap. MARIE MAXIM showed speed, but retired in the last quarter. ARMISTICE ran a bad race. IIO McMILLAN was outpaced in the early running, but gradually improved his position while racing on the outside in the last half mile and wore the leaders down to win going away. DAN E. OSLLLIVAN gradually improved his position and finished with a belated rush. TALL TIMBER showed excellent speed iu pact-making and raced SPOT CASH into defeat, but tired in the last tifty yards and was driving hard at the finish. SPOT CASH moved up rapidly after entering the stretch, but tirefl in the last eighth MOONRAKER was fraetious at the post, but ran well. The last three horses were eased up in the stretch. HUMROLDT raced in close pur. uit of the leaders all the way and tame fast on the stretch turn, but tired finally. MISS STAR showed the most speed for a half mile, but quit badly in the last eighth.
