Won easily; second and third driving. MARGARET WAKE followed the leaders until well into the homestretch, then closed up with x rush in the last eighth into the lead and was going away at the end. ILLUSIONIST was much used in forcing the early pace and tired, but finished gamely. PIEGAN paved ground on all the turns and finished close up. ADVENTURESS set a fast pace, but tired badly in the homestretch. BRUSHWOOD finished gamely. Scratched G7143 Rosie II., 91. MEMPHIS sprinted into a good lead after rounding the far turn, bnt tired in the final drive. DEERTRAIL set a fast early pace and was a forward contender the rest of the way. CARRIE MOORE showed great speed nnd raced into a good lead, but tired when challenged by the winner. HOHOKUS closed a big gap and finished with a rush on the inside. RAS ran a good race. TONY BEAU was shuffled back to last place, but closed a great gap in the last quarter and finished with a rush. APPLE JACK II. ran a good race, but tired in the stretch drive. WALTER TURNBOW made up ground and outgamed STONEWALL at the end. The latter raced into the lead on the last turn, but tired in the stretch drive. WAKEFIELD sulked all the way.
