Won easily ; second and third driving. MALTHUS raced into an easy lead on the first turn and easily held the race safe to the end. COL. PAT raced close up and outstayed BLACK AIR. The latter raced into third place after going the first quarter and held it gamely in the final drive. ACUIITTED was in close quarters on the inside much of the way. RIVULET was humped by BLACK AIR at the start and was in close quarters on the inside in the stretch. MARK AURELE quit. BANKER BROWN was never prominent. ROMA raced on the outside of the winner throughout and. after taking the lead, finished resolutely. SCARE CROW closed up much ground and easily took third place ia the stretch. The latter was in close quarters on the inside to the stretch, then came to the outside and finished with a rush. ISOSCELES set a good pace, but tired when called on in the final eighth.
