PRETENTIOUS VIRGINIA FARM BOWIE, Md., April 16.— Reid Riley, whose Montana Hall Stud at White Post, Va., is probably the most pretentious breeding establishment in that section, was a visitor at Bowie this afternoon. Montana Hall Farm, which comprises 1,000 acres, is rich in limestone and blue grass and has produced some real good horses in the past few years. Among them were Rock Man. Extreme, Prince of Wales, Gnome Girl, Red Rocket, Sea Rocket and War Feathers. Mr. Riley had 100 mares on his place ; also the stallions Catalan, Tournament II., LAiglon, West-wyck and King James. Tournament II., by Gay Crusader — Reine des Peaches, is a three parts sister to Stefan the Great. LAiglon, by Phalaris, is the property of Miss Amie Dupont, of Wilmington, Del. King James, which is 25 years old, has ten foals at the farm and was bred back to twelve this spring. The eighteen mares bred to Catalan last spring have all dropped foals. «
