Commission Rulings RulingsReported Reported to DAILY RACING FORM At a regular meeting of the Illinois Racing Board held here yesterday that body heard the pleas for reinstatement of jockeys Clovis Bureau Clifford Dale Klinder and Fred W Eppihimer former jockey Milton Terry and jockey agent Edward C Skirvin The cases of Bu ¬ reau Klinder Terry and Skirvin were taken under advisement while Eppi himers was continued until the next meeting so that witnesses might be brought in Also continued was the case of jockey R L Vedder Roy Smith and T Calumet The board approved the recommendations of its license committe for the Sportsmans Park meeting and also the appointment of J J Graddy as steward during the Lincoln Fields meeting during the ab ¬ sence of Sam H McMeekin who is con ¬ valescing from a recent illness CHARLES TOWN W Ta May 18 The granting of a trainers license to Robert W Fitzgerald and the amend ¬ ing of a heretofore indefinite suspen ¬ sion against trainer William C Mein in addition to the restoration to good standing of jockey Richard R Finn was featured at a meeting held here today of the West Virginia Racing Commission Other action taken in ¬ volved the establishment of new West Virginia racing rules One of these stipulates that post time for the first race at each meeting shall first be approved by the commission and each race thereafter is to be run at 30min ute intervals unless an emergency arises A further innovation sets the maximum number of races per day at all tracks in the state at eight eightThe The text of the commission meeting is as follows followsIt It is ordered by the West Virginia Racing Commission this seventeenth day of May 1948 that Robert W Fitz ¬ gerald who was Indefinitely suspended by this commission on December 12 1946 be granted a license to train horses with the understanding that he liot apply here or elsewhere f ora jockey license In the event he does the West Virginia Racing Commission reserves the right to rescind his reinstatement as that is the consideration upon which he is reinstated reinstatedIt It is ordered by the West Virginia Racing Commission the seventh day of May 1948 that the ruling of this com ¬ mission indefinitely suspended trainer William C Mein be amended to the period of one year to wit from October 24 1947 to October 24 1948 1948It It is ordered by the West Virginia Racing Commission this seventeenth day of May 1948 that Richard R Finn jockey who was suspended June 14 1945 at Wheeling be restored to good standing as of this date dateThe The new racing rules are as follow followPost Post time of the first race at each meeting under the supervision of the West Virginia Racing Commission shall first be approved by this commission and each race thereafter is to be run at 30minute intervals unless an emer ¬ gency arises and in that event the final decision is in the hands of the state supervisor of parimutuels parimutuelsThe The maximum number of races per day at all tracks under the supervision of the West Virginia Racing Commis ¬ sion shall be eight in no case to be changed or altered until and except the matter be taken before the West Vir ¬ ginia Racing Commission as a whole and unanimously approved by it
