Brief Sigh Takes Lincoln Feature Conniver in Third Straight Score Imprudence II Is Last at Belmont BelmontLaMontagne LaMontagne Filly Home Six Lengths Before Red Stamp In Water Blossom Handicap HandicapBELMONT BELMONT PARK Elmont LL N Y June 3 Harry LaMpntagnes Conniver added another to her rapidly growing col ¬ lection of victories when she coasted home six lengths before Mary Elizabeth Whit ¬ neys Red Stamp in the Water Blossom Handicap at Belmont Park today William Helis Miss Kimo finished three and a half lengths farther back and a head before G H Bostwicks Riskolater while Cain Hoy Stables French filly Imprudence n made an inauspicious debut finishing last at the end of the mile mileConniver Conniver was the favorite with the light crowd of 20205 that turned out in cloudy blustery weather and paid 610 Ferril Zufelt turned in his customary smooth ride oh the big brown daughter of Discovery Conniver was winning her third straight and her fifth race in seven starts this year placing third in her two beaten races The time was a creditable 137 with the final quarter which was largely against a strong wind being teletimed in 25 25Miss Miss Kimo Leads to Far Turn TurnMiss Miss Kimo Red Stamp and Imprudence n were first but of the gate in the Water Blossom while Risolater and Conniver were off slowly Red Stamp dropped back to last place quickly and Imprudence n also eased back as Risolater moved up very fast along the rail followed by Conniver Miss Kimo led to the far turn where she began to go slightly wide and tire Risolater weak ¬ ened at the same time and Conniver moved brusquely into command rounding the bend while Imprudence n dropped back to last place as Red Stamp came on again along the rail railConniver Conniver came into the stretch three lengths in the van and augmented her lead without trouble in the run to the wire Red Stamp was under severe pressure to the eighth pole where Tex Jasperson saw that there was no chance of catching the leader or losing second money and eased his mount Miss Kimo and Risolater en ¬ gaged in a bitter struggle for third money far back of the leaders leadersConniver Conniver who was in Class D last fall Class C in April and moved into Class B at the end of that month raced herself into Class A by her victory today John B Campbell announced
