ANOTHER RACING FABLE The cheap comment on racing happenings is illustrated over the St Louis happening of last Monday A Cincinnati crew got a flash about Palmerstons win at Oakland and won a few hundred dollars It was inside 2000 and a steal The news declared the raid to be one of some 415000 and accused the St Louis rooms of welching on the Palmerstoo tickets The Haydeii Schreiber room was included and listed for a loss of 5000 or so As a matter of fact the Hayden Schreiber room lost some SCO over the Palmerston race held the bets less than twentyfour hours and then as it was bound to do after accepting the bets paid off The Cincinnati crowd confessed before it col ¬ lected
