INGALLS FINALS PARKS GOOD RACING Ingalls Finals Parks fifteen day meeting opened in comely fashion yesterday One was reminded of the palmy palm days of Hawthorne and Harlem to see the crowd There was of course a big Chicago delegation on hand but Joliet and the rnrality normality about it was well represented There were bright faces and dresses all about the stand standThe standee The programme programmed offered was a good one with considerable class about it and the racing far above the average averageThe average The track is a fast well arranged one and the surrounding country one of finish and beauty The afternoon was hot and sultry There was plenty of healthy liquids around the refreshment bars but nothing of an alcoholic nature natureWise nature Wise and lengthy James E Cushing furnished three of the afternoons favorites but only one Harry Shannon could score When the blue and gold colors landed there was enthusiasm in the Illinois air airThe aitches The third a seven furlong selling race fur ¬ nished noshed an exciting bit of racing Pinkey Pinkeye Potter with Caywood Cawed up was the favorite and should have won but Miss Young backed at long odds by Mr Roller and his coterie got the decision Miss Young was off well and had clear sailing and good luck That won the race Pinkey Pinkeye Potter was bumped and badly interfered with at the start and was coming like a whirlwind at the finish finishMiss fiendishness Miss Hoy Holy looked in a soft spot with Richard J out of the first and was well played at 6 to 5 and loss She ran a disappointing race finish ¬ ing King third thirdAbuse third Abuse won his race like a gentleman and Olivia L at a long price ontfooted hotfooted the party in the final event eventMr event Mr Singerly Gingerly of the Philadelphia Record and owner of the Elkton Elton Stock Farm was a visitor Andy Blakely Blackly and Louis Ezell Bezel from Frisco were also on hand
