NOTES OF THE TURF. G. B. Molere has purchased nine of the Mac-Donough broodmares at private sale. Among the number were Mirandoic, Dizzy Blonde, Princess Idle, Mercedes, Namore, Eliza, Jorig-leuse and Bud. Molere owns a ranch in Monterey County and has Rey Alfonso at the head of his stud. The Tribune. A dispatch to the Inter Ocean gives First Tenor, Obsidian, Survivor, Ailyar, Olinthus, Horton, Lime Water, Corsini and Maud Ferguson as the probable starters for the California Derby. As the race does not come off until March 18 it looks like guessing a long way ahead and ignoring the possible developments of two months. Before Flushingtou started for the race he won at Inleside last Wednesday, Mr. Corrigan offered to sell him for 00. "Frisco" Linde took him at once and Corrigan bet the hundred on Survivor in the next race and cashed. Last Thursday Barney Schreiber sold Imperious to Pat Dunne and the horse straightway won three races for his new owner, a circumstance that would incline one to think he might have been worth keeping. Capt. J. H. Roes, W. F. Schulte, president of the New Louisville Jockey Club, and S. M. Apperson, president of the Little Rock Jockey Club viewed the races at New Orleans Saturday. Ed Corrigans well known jumper Redding-ton has been destroyed because of an injury to his shoulder that was deemed incurable. O. G.
