NEW ORLEANS GOSSIP. New Obleans, La. March 17. H. T. Griffin ran up Egbart, entered at 00, and got him for 00. W. J. Donohue ran up Mordecai 00 over entered price, but W. R. Griffin retained him for 05. Jockey M. Dunn was suspended indefinitely for his ride on Gomez March 15, Mrs. Phillips, wife of a local lawyer, dropped dead as the horses were finishing in the second race. Heart failure was the cause.
