NOTES OF THE TURF. There will be an exodus of eastern book-making talent from the local tracks during the opening week of the next meeting at Oakland. Fred Pesch and his Turf Club will then take their departure for Memphis, Tenn. W. W. Beverly will go to West Baden Springs for a few weeks rest prior to the opening of the seasons racing on the New York tracks.
