NOTES OF THE TURF. In winning the Woodcote Stakes at Epsom a two-year-old named Bonarosa was credited with running six furlongs in 1:11, which, as the youngster carried 124 lbs., suggests that tho fnll distance was not covered or else the official timekeeper was not looking when the race started, and the watch was consequently started a bit late. At the eamo meeting another two-year-old, ODonovan Rossa 121, won tho Great Surrey Breeders Foal Plate, five furlongs, in 57 seconds. By his victory yesterday, Flying Fox claims a place among the select band enrolled as winners of the Two Tnonsand Guineas, Derby and St. Leger. The "triple crown" heroes now number eight, viz.: West Australian in 1853,-Gladi-atour in 1865, Lord Lyon in 1865, Ormonde in 1886, Common in 1891, Isinglass in 1893, Galtee More in 1897, and Flying Fox in 1899.
