Be was fortunate in getting away in front and always held his field safe. Uarda ran a good race and is in good form. Astor got into a bad jam on the fiist turn and made up grcurd after that throughout. Btulam showed plenty of speed, but the routo waB tco far for her. Watch Prestar. He finished like a wild horse. Winner Ch. f, by Bobby Beach Faithless. Post 11 minutes. Start good. Won cleverly; the next five were all in a bunch and driving to the limit. May Beach finally struck a track and weight to suit her. She was well ridden after the first quarter had baen run. During this time Vititoe had her in npxt the rail where the going was worst tnd on the far turn the filly seemed to be beaten. Here, however, the boy took her to the outride and as sion aand he struck the hard going she passed those in front like a flash. Alice Turner ran a cracking good race. She was on the inside in the deep going all the way but not-withstanding thiB came like a cyclone in the stretch OConnell ran to his mark. He is not the horande he used to be. Sim W. was slow in getting away, had b-id luck and perhaps ran as goon a race as the winner. Goebel showed speed but quit baaly at the end. Canace was poorly ridden So W8S Hugh Penny, who seemed to have speed enough to run over horses in the stretch had he been able to get through. Bertha Nell showed speed to the head of the stretch bat then stopped to a walk. He was away filing, showed the most speed and hung 011 with great gameness through the stretch. Moroni is a hard luck horse. He should have won this race. Flick rode a poor race throughout and at the finish was of little or no help to the horse. Double Dummy, as usual, was right there. Duke of Baden, like, Moroni, was badly ricdon. He is as game as a pebble and stood Freemans haru punishment like an aristocrat. Bed Cross II. is not a stayer. He wanted to quit under piesture and through the last furlong was leaning up against Erwin. Felix Bard awoke and she wed a touch of speed. Morris Volmer bad bad rrcing luck.
