A GREAT SALE. The sale to be conducted by Messrs. Woodard and Shanklin, during the week of November 27, to December 2 at Lexington will likely prove one of the greatest they have ever held, judging from the quality of the consignments they announce. Although there are more than 500 head to be sold, it is not merely a salo of a large number of thoroughbred horses, but in most caeea horses of worth and such as will be esgerly bid upon by all who desire to strengthen their farmB or stables. The yearlings to be sold number in all 250 head, and they are the product of some of the most noted establishments In America. The list includes a number of brothers and sisters to the greatest of stake winners, and are represented to be an exceedingly valuable and choice lot. Certainly from such a large number wo believe the most ever offered in any one sale in this country, one should have no difficulty in picking a "good one," and doubtless many rare bargains will be becured. The bore ea in training are about 100 head, including the wonderful trio, namely, Anna Bain, Unsightly and Merito, the "cracks" of 1899 two-year old fillies. Serrano, the best aged horse of the West during 1899, will also be Bold, as well as a most valuable contingent from tbe successful stable of Messrs. J. W. Schorr, including Algol a high-class horse, W. Overton stake winner, Streamer, Presbyterian stake winner, The Rush, Wilson. Yoloco, Aberdale and others. Mr. Euxene Leigh will dispote of bis Western stable, including High Degree a stake winner, Wiedemann. Mr. Brown, Zonne and othsr winners. Mr. W. H. McCorkle sends bis entires atring, Lightning Express, Fairy Dell, etc. W. A McGnigan send in addition Unsightly, also the good horses, Edinborouah, Dick Fur-feer, Benadier, Tulane, Deanston, Sarilla, Major Manairandthe great mare, Lady Inez. Apple- i ! Merito, Romanoff, Joe Grady, etc. Other consignments include Vohicer, Prince Real, Miss Gnssie, Caviar and numerous other valuable and useful horses. The 200 stallions, broodmares and weanlings to be sold are fully up to the high standard of other divisions of this great fale, and include both tbe sires and the dams of any number of the best of Americas "racehorses." It will b9 a eale that no horsemen can afford to miss, for no matter what his wsnts may be he can be supplied from the 00 head to be sold. Catalogues giving complete information will be ready November 18, and will be mailed only upon application to Messrs. Woodard and Shanklin. It will prove a useful study to any who are at all interested in the thoroughbred horse.
