Discussing various points of interest marking racing over the San Francisco tracks, last Mondays San Frmcisco Chronicle says: "There have been many inquiries in regard to tbe California Derby and other stake events usually given every spring by tbe Pacific Coast Jockey Club. Tbe delay in announcing stake events has been due to the uncertainty in regard to tbe opening of Ingleside.but the matter will be decided cne way or the other early in January. Secretary Fred Green stated that he was cot fide nt the new Board of Supervisors would permit the reopenicg of the Ingleside track upon tbe representations that are to bD made by the Pacific Coast Jockey Club. It is known, however, that in tbe event of a refusal, the Western Turf Asecciation will lease Tan-foren Park to Ihe Pacific Coast Jockey Club eo as to enable that association to run off any stake everts it msy anrounco.
