Pierre Lorillard has suffered the loss of ona of the best broodmares at Rancocas Farm im the death of the chestnut mare Equality II., br Rayon dOr— Quits. Equality II. was the dam of Bloomer, Elfin and Democrat. The latter i a prominont candidate in this years English Derby. Thomas Berry, the well-known horseman ar- rived at Newport Tuesday with his stable. Berry was lately reinstated by the officials o* the Fair Grounds Racing Association, of St. Louis. He lias quite a string of horses which should do well in such capable and experienced | hands.
