Lanceman could not get through until in the final furlong. He came with a rush at the end but could not quite get up. Lyne rode a good race and if he had had a whip he might have won. Kimberly tired after racing up to the leaders in the stretch. Choir Master was pinched off on the rail and Spencer pulled up. Scratched — Carl Kahler, 100; 17715 Bounteous, 92.
