Anna Bain 1 ran a fast, game race, but was interfered with by the winner in the stretch, being pinched against 1 the fence. A foul was claimed, but was not allowed. Wood showed herself to be both speedy and game, was favored by luck throughout and showed a marked improvement over her last race. Esther Riggs, off none too well, was made too much sise of in the early part of the race. Ethel Pace ran most disappointingly. Bean showed a lot of early speed but died away badly in the stretch. Great Star will have to improve a lot to win in good company. The others showed but little speed. Ollie Dixon ran the best race, getting off none too well and with a stronger jockey up might have won. Virgie O. ran a fine race, has improved greatly and should win soon. He seems to be a colt of considerable promise. The Monk ran a good game race. He had all he could do at the finish to beat Cleora for second place. Cleora showed fine speed and hung on well. Unsightly seems high in flesh and though she showed much speed she tired badly in the stretch. Foneda found the distance too far for her. Waldeck was outclassed. Scratched— 14424 Estill, 105. The latter was interfered with several times and Wedderstrand rode a bad race on her. Scrivener and La Grange both showed speed in spots.
