Georgie got off running and was never in trouble, but she was probably short. She was all out at the end. Eberhart ran a good race and finished strongly. Foneda got off poorly or she might have been closer up. She acted badly at the post. Greatland and Star of Bethlehem did not appear to be ready. Strath-light ran better than the race figures show. He was on the outside in the bumping on the far turn and was knocked out of it for several lengths. He came strongly through the stretch and nipped out Aurea, who was tiring from setting the pace. Zonne ran his race. Sarilla was kept out of it until the stretch was reached. Lunar showed early speed. Banbury fell at the half mile ground. Britton was trying to take him through an impossible opening. Scratched— 17895 Avatar, 102 ; 17830 Kaftan, 97.
