Rose got J a running start and could have won by a city block had he so chosen. Glove got second place as J easily as Peaches won. Esther Riggs was under a drive all the way. Off at the first break to a good start. Won easily; second and third doing their best. Abe Furst outclassed the field, was well ridden and never fully extended. He is a handy selling plater when in form but seems to be a hard horse to keep on edge. Lucille Bramble showed a lot of speed and can win at once when in with her own kind. Heigh Ho ran a 1 bad race. She did not show her usual flash of speed and wobbled all over the track at the finish. 1 Maggie Davis was a contender all the way and would have been hard to beat had the track been ] fast. Miss Shanley could not extend herself in the going. Alfred C. was beaten off all the way. ] Scratched— 19349 Silver Garter, 107 ; 19150 Catastrophe, 107; 19310 Vohicer, 109; 18557 Jim 1 Gore II., Ill ; 191% Vain, 108; 19266?Pope Leo, 115. | Abe Furst, place, evens ; show, out. Winner— B. h, by Iroquois — Bracelet. Went to post at 3:10. Off at the first break to a good statt. Won eased up; second whipped out. Bangle outclassed his field and was in a soft spot. He seemed to like the going, ran kindly and was never fully extended. He is a horse of fair class and but for his moody disposition, he would be hard to beat in any company. Our Nellie did her very best. She seems to be good now, but does not possess the quality to beat a horse like Bangle. The first two had the race between themselves all the way. Henry C. ran as good as could be expected from him. Monongah was stiff and sore. Barton ran well for about three-quarters. Scratched— U9097Great Bend, 114. Overweights— Barton, 2 pounds. Dangerline was best ridden, liked the going and was going away at the end. He likes a muddy track. Hurry made up ground throughout and ran a good, game race, outlasting Sarner at the end. The latter is a good looker and for a new beginner ran a smashing good race. Invictus was interfered with at the start. Regea took the longest route and was generally poorly handled. Norford is a wonder in sloppy mud and he had an easy time of it in beating Limerick. The latter was n« ver in striking distance and when Ruru6 saw he had no chance to win he eased the gelding up. Winner— R. f, by Meddler— Little Lady II. Went to po6t at 5:05. Off at the first break to a good start. Won easily; second driving to the limit. Lady Meddlesome was well handled, found the track to her liking, and won without an effort. Knight had Prebtar beaten at the eighth post and from there home simply teased Ransom. Prestar showed a lot of speed and seems to be in winning form. Blue Lick seemed dangerous at the head of the stretch, but hung at the end. Castake shot his bolt early. Bishop Reed was dull of speed and on a track precisely to his liking made a bad showing. He can and will do better than this.
