Sidney-Lucas was well in hand at the finish and could have won further off. Ross eased him up in the last ten yards. Advance Guard finished on the inside in the cuppy going. Too much use was made of John Yerkes in the first six furlongs and he tired when challenged in the stretch. The others were outclassed. He had to drive at the head of the stretch to get to the front, but had speed to spare at the finish. Hungarian ran well, but was tiring at the end and bad all he could do to retain second place from Glad Hand, who ran a good race. Miss Al Far row was outrun in the first part of the race, but closed strongly in the final quarter. Looram did not run his race.
