She could have run a half second faster. Robertson was looking around through the last eighth. May Ella ran up to her best form. Benckart was giving away weight and showed that he ikes a distance. Earl Fonso and Acushla were "sifting" out in frotjt and ruined each others chances. Acushla ran without blinkers. Earl Fonso was to be ridden without a whip hut the judges sent Martin back for one as he was going to the post, delaying the start several minutes. Overweights— May Ella, 2 pounds.
