No fractions taken. Winner— Ch. h, by Forester— Daisy Woodruff. Went to post at 1:35. At post 41 minutes. This race was a farce. It took three races to decide the matter. In the first Caldwell dropped his flag as did the timer his flag. Terrorist led all the way and won easily by four lengths from Lieber Karl. His Royal Highness ran a quarter and was then pulled up. The starter told the others to go on. Epigram finished third. The stewards deeided no race. Then twenty minutes were given for new betting, and then came another bungling start. His Royal Highness led all the way and finished first by four lengths from Lady Contrary, she two lengths before Miss Mitchell. Again it was no race and the horses went back to the post. Then came the real start and Epigram led until near the finish where Terrorist and Lieber Karl closed strongly. Betting given above is that after the first run off. Start good. Won easily; second driving. This race was only a common gallop for Bannockburn. He was under restraint all the way, and the going seemed to suit him. Favonius was under the whip all through the last quarter and finished stoutly, but King Bramble should have been an easy second, Clawson not seeing the others until the last two strides. Favonius and David Garrick made wide turns into the stretch. David Gar-rick was in an ugly mood and would never extend himself. Won easily ; second handily. Lady of the Valley seems to like the sloppy going better than she does the sticky mud and had the race won all t lie way. Princess Pepper ran her race and was all out at the end. In Shot ran well and fought it out all the way. Splash ran out and then came on fast on the outside and might have won but for the accident. Lady Schorr ran at about the Bame gait throughout. Queen Pepper was blinded by the mud and seemed as if she could not see. She was jumping up in the air about every twenty strides. Sweet Lavender was left through the fault of Littlefield, who did not want Scratched— i979I»Tower of Candles, 119 ; 19956 Scurry, 113; Minor Daly, 105; Julia Hanover, 104; Scotch Bush. 104. Winner— B. h, by Tristan— Fiona. Went to post at 3:45. Off at the first break to a good start. Won easily; second the same. The going suited Trillo as if made to order. He was off iu front, ran under mild restraint throughout, and fairly romped home. Exit seemed dangerous at the head of the stretch, but Mitchell, on Trillo, let out a link and that ended matters. Exit and Harry McCoun did their best. Orion was given a bail ride by Meade and was also shut out twice and put on the fence. Trillo, entered to be sold for 00, was bid up and purchased for 00 by W. Coburn, who sold him to S. Hildreth for ,000. Scratcbed-19782 Survivor, 109; 19683 Midsummer, 103; 19910 Uncle Bill, 101; 19782 Rochester, 101. Trillo. place, 1 to 3; show, out. Pieder-ich liked the mud and showed the most 6peed, but he was stopping badly at the end. He stumbled at the last furlong and almost fell. Musketeer ran a good race and was closing fast at the end. Cornelion fell back after getting off well and then closed strongly in the stretch. It appeared as if he was not quite in his stride when the flag fell. Sandpiper, off tenth, made up a lot of ground in the last quarter. Amur also closed up a lot of ground. Birch Tree tired badly iu the stretch.
