Coburn had Sackhen under restraint to the stretch, when be came away without an effort. Lottie Sheville finished strongly after coming wide at the stretch turn. So did Tee Drop and the pair fought it out closely all through the last furlong for second place. Miss Fonsoland was carried to defeat in the first half by Sackhen and tired badly at the end. He had her under a pull to the stretch when he came away and won off. Coburn lay too far out of it with Rose Bird. He tried to come through on the inside at the stretch turn but was shut off and had to come all around his field. She finished like a good one and stood a drive all through the last quarter. Scotch Bramble and Amoroso were tiring at the end. Siroister has probably had too much of it this week. He runs better when fresh. This was not his race. Overweights— Siroister. 1 pound. It was anybodys race at the eighth post, but Bell puncli was drawing away at the end and was best. Ennomia hung when it came to a drive. She ran her race and had no excuses. Free Lance was sore when going to the post. Chopin was shut off at the first turn aud knocked out of it. Our Lizzie and Boyal Sterling raced each other into exhaustion in setting the pace.
