Kamara ran a good race. She seemed threatened in the stretch but was all out and tiring from chasing Rush. Andronicus is a slow beginner and needs a route. He finished stoutly. Waring is a peculiar horse, runs fast at times and six furlongs suit him. This was his day to run fast and he smothered the others. Potente ran a game race, but a longer route would have suited him better. Contestor showed speed, but was probably short, as he tired badlv at the end. Jean Beraud got off flat-footed and was outrun at the start, but made up ground and closed strongly. Gold Or is just recovering from sickness and showed but little speed. Sloan got him away well, placed him carefully and brought him up in the stretch with au irresistible rush. Olympian ran a fine race. Offinttie middle division he was sooa in the front rank and raced out to the end with great speed and courage. Tommy At kins, as u.-ual. was slow to get fully into his strido but finished fast and strongly and. his weight considered, ran a grand race. The first trio held the others safe. Sweet Lavender ran to her best form. Heads and necks separated the entire field when a quarter of a mile from home, after which Ballyhoo Bey and Olympian drew out and the others began to I straggle, it was a true run race and free from interference. ! * • . 1 ? * I ] . ? . - • j ■ show, Scratched— 19752Kenilworth. 122; 18399 Six Shooter, 112; MUasLongshoreman, 112 ; 187662 Smile. 112.
