rattling finish for third money the first named just lasting long enough to get it Hans Wagner off in front could not live with the early pace set by Hat Mitchell and Ernest Parham and fell back to sixth position entering the stretch but down the last quarter he closed with resolution and would have won in another stride Ogle well up to the last eighth faded materially in the closing strides The sameSmay ba said of Stuyve Haydon off poorly made up considerable ground but tho early effort took all the run ont of him and he had nothing to finish with withCorrected Corrected Weights Dougherty 94 Boy ran under gentle restraint until just before rounding the final quarter where the Bradley gelding throatlatched the threeyear old and for a moment looked as if ho had nailed him But Garry was not to be denied and clung to the older horse with great gameness They ran stride for stride until about ten jumps from the wire where Garrys tenacity began to tell and carried him slightly in front to the wire He will not work and plainly showed that he needs a couple of more races in him to bring him up to his best form formScratched Scratched 249553Tayon 108 24877The Conqueror II 113 C KA K FIFTH
