MAY RACE AT CLEVELAND Cleveland is at last to have a glimpse of th rnnning horse as a syndicate headed by Colonel Kidd has secured the Valley Park track and intends to hold at least a six weeks meeting beginning the latter part of August AugustColonol Colonol Eidd thinks that Cleveland will make an ideal place for summer racing and that th public there will easily support a meeting of that length If the venture is successful the meeting will be continued indefinitely indefinitelyThe The Valley Park track was only built a few years ago and has been ueed as a gentlemens driving park It is situated in a suburb of Cleveland called Newbnrg and is said to be an ideal spot spotThe The meeting will be run as an independent track similar to Fort Erie and Windsor and any horse in good standing will be allowed to start Negotiations are in progress with Tom Riley whom the management has selected to wield the starters Sag Riley will leave for Cleve ¬ land tonight and will accept the berth if it does not clash with the fall dates for Newport as he has promised to be back there and he is more than anxious to work again for Manager Fowler Cincinnati Commercial Tribune
