NO DECISION ABOUT SHAW. New Yoek, N. Y Sept. 11. Consideration of Shaws ride on Blue Girl consumed nearly the entire seBsion of the Jockey Club stewards, who met this afternoon. It was announced at the close that nothing had been done in tho case and it is probable that Shaw will escape without even a reprimand. It is remarkable that of the number of contenders in that memorable race, which finished right on the heels of Whitneys filly, Sun Shower, Par Excellence, Flora Pomona and Lux CaBta have performed CONTINUED OK BKOOKD lM J NO DECISION ABOUT SHAW. Continued from First Page. very badly since and the race has become enveloped in a hopeless tangle as regards form. Blue Girl bled in her work at Saratoga, but that occurred before her good race with Goldsmith, consequently it was not regarded seriously. All the same she probably suffered from some affection or other and in view of her long continued siege of racing since early spring it is generally believed that the sister to Blues has gone stale and that it would be almost any odds on Endurance by Bight to beat her in a Match race at the present time, with a strong probability that the western filly haB always been superior to the eastern champion filly. The crack Sir Dixon colt Nones, winner of the last race today, ran in the colors purple jacket and black cap of P. Ryan, the western plunger, who is about the largest cash bettor the conn try has ever seen. He never bets markers, but carries with him at all times a roll of one thousand dollar bills, estimated on some days to amount to over one hundred thousand dollars. He bet the ring to a standstill on his new purchase and must have taken a fortune over the colts victory. The price paid F. B. Hitchcock for him is reported to have been ,000. Bowen, the impressive winner of the second race, also ran in his new owners colors, Dryer and McGuire having bought him from his former owner, C. H. Smith.
