VOLODYOVSKI BEATEN. Mr. Whitneys Volodyovski-was a strong favorite for the St. Legor at Doncastar, England, yesterday, but in a bruising finish was beaten by the outsider Doricles. The betting previous to the start was 40 to 1 against Doricles, 10 to 11 against Volodyovski and 9 to 1 againBt Bevenue. Bevenne led until going up the hill, when Cynical drew to the front and led to the stretch, Bevenue again going to the front there. Doricles and Yolodyovski, the latter ridden by Lester Reiff , then came up fast and passed Revenue, Doricles winning by a neck. Three lengths separated VolodyovBki and Revenue, second and third horses respectively. An objection was made to Doricles winning on the ground of bumpiiig, but it was overruled.
