Cos was well served by the going, was well ridden and the best. He ran around the ! field in the first half and won going away. Velasquez stayed longer than usual. He liked the going. Dnrrell should have been an easy second, but Narvaez eased him up at the finish. Accolade ran a good race under a very weak ride. Hengist was prominent to the stretch, then quit when he appeared like a winner. Coreel was running a good race when she was pocketed. May Violet ran well for an eighth, then quit. She was very poorly ridden and was crowded in againBt the rail at the : three-eighthB, but was bo good that she could not be beaten. Two Annies ran her race and finished gamely. Kinloch Park reveled in the going and finished stoutly in a rood race for him. Sauber ran the best race of the field save the winner under a poor ride. Robert Morrison ran well to the stretch. Birdie Stone seemingly could not get up an ordinary gallop. Robert W. showed speed until he broke down. Scratched-28114 Warren Point, 103. Overweights Kinloch Park, 3 pounds. Winner Ch. f, by Pirate of Penzance Sayonora. Went to post at 3:38. At post 4 minutes. Start good. Won driving: second the same. Hun-tressa was lucky and best ridden. Talpa waB best as it was run, but OBrien forced ONeil into the bad going in the stretch and kept Huntressa on the dry path. At that Talpa might have won with a strong finish. She was winning when ONeil dropped her head to use the whip. Sambo was not shaken up in the early part of the race, as he must be to do his best. He showed a liking for the going and finished fast. Rose of Red was probably best at the weights, but she was given a bad ride. She was cut off at the start and lost five lengths thereby, then galloped up to the leaders easily. Hall then took her on the inside of the firBt pair in the deep going, where she was pocketed and cut off. Varner was not a contender. No Bhow betting on first four. . She was sore when going: to.the post and pulled up very lame. Van Hoorebeke was much the best, bat was weakly ridden in the stretch. He had the race in hand at the stretch head, but swung too wide and then swerved into the soft mud while Alice Turner came on the good path he had abandoned. She seemingly fouled Van Hoorebeke in the last fifty yards. Ida Ledford finished strongly in the dry going. Prosper La Gai ran a fair race. Blink was sour, refused to break and failed to show much speed at any part of the race and sulked in the first quarter. Overweights Prosper La Gai, 3 pounds. Alice Turner, Bhow, 6 to 5. He likes the slop and made a runaway race of it. Tulla Fonso, smooth Bhod, did not get into her stride until half had been run. Miss Mae Day did not seem to relish the mud and quit after running a good six furlongs. Georgia Gardner warmed up very sore. Ignis put up a fine performance. He waB much bothered by interference at the three-eighths from Grandma II. and Lady Curzon when he waB going great guns. Dugan saved ground at the stretch turn and rode a capital race. Grandma II. was at home in the slop and did well. Lady Cnrzon waB smooth shod and ran in bar plates. She could not extend herself in the going which is her forte. The others were n0t8cratched-28191 Toucer,110; 28ll02Delsarto, 107; 28169Nekarnis, 107. Euterpe, show, 1 to 2. Ignis, show, 1 to 2.
