The latter, always well up, finished fast, but could not quite get up. Kentucky Babe csme strongly and fast in the last eighth after making up much ground in the final naif. Stella Perkins showed speed for four and a half furlongs and will bear watching. Jack Battlin was almost as good as left. Be made up grouid too quickly in the flrBt quarter and it took too much out of him. He waB eased np at the end. Dnke of Coup aught showed early speed.
