The -winner swung wide into the stretch but finished stoutly when it came to a drive. Tremar hung in the last sixteenth. She Bhowed much speed and likeB this track. Springwells was tiring all through the last furlong and was driving to the limit to stall off St. David. Young Henry was off poorly and interfered with in the first part of the race. The latter went all around his field and finished on -the outside and was coming very Btrongly and would have won iu another stride. Red Robe closed a big gap after getting away tangled.up. Ganesa, Strathcona Belle and Easy Street were used up in Betting the pace. The latUr was probably short. Flintlock began slowly and did not run his race. Free Lance came strongly at the end after meeting early interference. Handicapper showed speed for six furlongs, but tired in the stretch run. Hie Away by no means ran his race. Overweights Handicapper, 4 pounds. Euclaire, show, evens. Kaslo, show, 2 to 1. Free Lance, Bhow, 1 to 2. Hie Away, show, 2 to 5.
