Early Eve tried to run out on the stretch turn and Inst much ground, but respouded gamely to punishment when straightened for the wire. She is suffering from a sore mouth. Wild Bess is a promising.filly, both speedy and game. Clipper and Past were going well in the stretch, after making up ground lost at the start. The others had ecant chances at the start. OConnor rode too confident a race on the winner, which could have gone np to Flywheel at any time in the first half and finally woke up to the necessity of overcoming five lengths lead in the last three-eighths. It appeared like a hopoless chase, but Flywheel commenced to tire at the end and the winner suddenly and unexpectedly drew alongside after which it was all over. Ethics was outclassed.
