St. Finnan also received a lucky Btart and, being carefully saved, benefited at the expense of the pacemakers running at a terrific clip, but was very lucky to beat the badly ridden McAddir, which appeared beaten on the etretch-turn and came unexpectedly fast at the end. He was probably the best of the first three and will improve. The Rhymer ran a game race at the weights. The Amazon lost a half dozen lengths by a bad start and could never get up.
